FAQ


How do I enroll a new item?

1) Log into an existing account or create a new one

2) Once logged in, the home page will prompt you to “enroll” or “report” an item.

3) Use the enroll button to add a new item

4) ​Attach a Return Reward Tag to any item you want to protect and press enroll in the app to scan the newly attached label

5) Once recognized, the app will open the item details page. Click the “tap to add image” button and enter item details (name, description, who it belongs to, reward) Adding at least one image of your item is required.

*The user can enter details about the item, including item name, description, belongs to, update reward (the amount of the gift that will be sent to the finder by SPEECHEE if the item is returned). The user can add more details by pressing “add details” including category, brand, and model.  “Add receipt” opens the camera and allows you to store an item receipt on the SPEECHEE cloud.  Once the item is enrolled, it can now be found on the “my items page.” *

How do I report an item I have found?

If you find an item with a Return Reward Tag, you can report it using the SPEECHEE app or by texting a photo of the QR code to 706-GET-BACK (706-438-2225) with any smartphone.   


When using the app:

Press “report” on the home screen and the app’s scanner will open.  Scan the label. 


If the label is authentic and enrolled, it will begin the report lost item process and take the user through the steps to have the item returned to the owner. 

The finder must add at least one image by pressing “tap to add image.”  This will initiate the return process, with messages and instructions being sent to the owner. 

What happens when my lost item is found?

If one of your enrolled lost items is reported as found, you will be notified on your SPEECHEE app, by text message, and email. The found item notification will show up in messages on your app.  Click on the message or follow the instructions in the text message and the return process will begin.  If you own the item reported found, confirm and the return process will continue.  


The owner and finder will have the option to communicate directly or have SPEECHEE assist in the shipping process.  If shipping is required, the owner will be given Federal Express packaging options and the charges associated with them, including shipping, SPEECHEE fee, and the reward fee, if applicable.  Once shipping info is completed, the owner will be taken to checkout to pay by Paypal or credit card.  An Amazon gift card will be sent to the finder. 

Where can I see all of my enrolled items?

Click on “my items” to open the list of all of your enrolled items.   (You can also sort your items by “found items,” “lost items,” or by date registered.) 


Select an item and click “more details” to see the details added during enrollment.  Click “edit” to update any of the information about your enrolled item including its image. Please note: We recommend using a new Return Reward Tag for every new item.  


You can delete an item by clicking “delete.” 

How do I enroll multiple same items?

“Add similar” allows the owner to copy the details of a previously enrolled item to a new Return Reward Tag. 


When you are in the item details section, the owner can attach a new, un-enrolled Tag to a like item. 


When the owner clicks “add similar,” the app scanner will open and the label can be enrolled. 


The newly enrolled label will have the same item details as the original


This is useful when enrolling multiple identical items to the same account.  

How can I place multiple labels on one item?

“Add QR” allows the owner to enroll multiple Return Reward Tags with the same item.  For example, the owner may choose to place more than one Return Reward Tag on a larger or more valuable item.  

Can I change a 'lost item' status to 'found?'​

“Item found” allows the user to change a lost item to a not lost status. 

How can I email the details of a lost item to someone?

“Report lost” allows the owner to send their contact info and all item details (including images) to any email address.  The owner can also send a message with the email.  


This system can be used when the owner loses an item and wants to notify someone who may be able to help locate it.

How can I send comments the SPEECHEE technology team?

Can I delete my account?

You can delete your account under “settings.”  


Please note: SPEECHEE advises that the app user have their device protected by a password, as your SPEECHEE account remains logged in unless you manually log out.
